WILD ESSENTIALS

Angela Pedder BSc (Hons); MA; MGEOTA

All About Wild Essentials

Wild Essentials offers a natural, practical approach to the fundamental care of animals and specialises in the natural care and management of horses, dogs and cats.

Angela trained with the Guild of Essential Oil Therapists for Animals (GEOTA) for two years and qualified as an Animal Essential Oil Therapist in June 2006, passing her Diploma with Distinction.

What is Essential Oil Therapy for Animals?

Animals instinctively know how to heal themselves, choosing their own medicines and treatments from nature’s vast wild pharmacy. However, domesticated animals and those in captivity are often denied these choices.

Essential oil therapy can help you to help your animals rediscover a gentler way of healing through the use of pure essential oils and natural care.

Essential oils have been used safely and effectively in human medicine for centuries but, the therapeutic qualities found in pure plant oils and floral waters are known to have equal benefits for the animal patient.

Essential oils are effective in treating a whole range of behavioural and physical conditions but it must not be assumed that because they are a natural product, they are automatically safe.

What are the Benefits of Essential Oil Therapy?

Used correctly under the direction of a qualified therapist, essential oils are powerful agents which present a range of safe health care options from which, your animals can once again make their own choices.

Many behavioural problems and physical conditions have been resolved through the use of essential oils-examples include allergies, injuries, skin conditions and vices such as head shaking and crib biting in horses and unwanted chewing in dogs.

Working closely with your own veterinarian, essential oil therapy can maximise the health of your animals with the overarching aim of replacing dis-ease with functional harmony and bringing the whole of the body back into balance.

If you require any further information on essential oil therapy or natural animal care or are interested in a consultation or wish to be put in contact with a therapist in your area, please contact Angela.

Essential oil therapy offers well- proven health care benefits and can complement mainstream veterinary care. However it is important that both you and your therapist work along side your vet in achieving the best health outcomes for your animals. Therefore, before considering a consultation, please ensure that your Vet is fully aware of your intentions.
